Regions
Define specific areas of your image for targeted editing and selective generation.
What are Regions?
Regions are defined areas of your image where you want the AI to focus its generation. Instead of regenerating the entire image, you select exactly where changes should happen.
Regions automatically match the lighting and conditions of the surrounding scene for seamlessly merged generations.
This gives you:
- Faster generation (only processing part of the image)
- More control (keep what works, fix what doesn't)
- Better results (focused prompts for specific areas)
What You Can Do With Regions
Remove Objects
Select an unwanted element and describe what should replace it, or leave the prompt empty for seamless removal.
Add Objects or Elements
Paint a region where you want something new to appear and describe what you want to add.
Targeted Generation
Specify exactly what should be generated in that specific area of your image.
Precise Editing
Make specific changes to a region without affecting the rest of your image.
Recommended Model
For best results with regions, we recommend Nano Banan Pro - optimized for regional editing with fast generation and high quality blending.
Creating Regions
Add regions from the Layers panel - they work just like layers. Click the add region button, paint or draw your selection area, then describe what you want in that region.
Pro Tips
- Start with larger regions, then refine with smaller targeted edits
- Use soft brush edges for more natural blending
- Overlap regions slightly for seamless transitions
- The smaller the region, the faster the generation
- Combine multiple small regions rather than one large one for better control
- Write prompts that describe only what should appear in the region, not the whole image
